Introduction
The Thurrock Association Sunday League (TASL) is an amateur football league based in Thurrock, Essex, England. It was founded in 1923 and currently has 40 teams competing in four divisions. The league is affiliated to the Essex County Football Association and is eligible to enter teams into the FA Sunday Cup.
History
The TASL was founded in 1923 by a group of local football enthusiasts. The first season saw just six teams compete, but the league has grown steadily over the years and now has over 40 teams. The TASL has been home to some talented players over the years, including former England internationals Paul Gascoigne and David Beckham.
Current season
The current season of the TASL began in September 2023. The Premier Division is currently being led by Chafford United, while the other three divisions are being led by Esperanto, Grays Athletic FC Sunday, and Merlin United First.
