The Cumberland Ability Counts League
The Cumberland Ability Counts League is an amateur football league for players with disabilities in Cumberland, England. It was founded in 2011 and currently has teams in the Championship, Premiership, and Super League.
History
The Cumberland Ability Counts League was founded in 2011 by the Cumberland Football Association (Cumberland FA) in partnership with the Football Association (FA). The league was created to provide opportunities for players with disabilities to play regular football.
The league started with just a few teams, but it has grown steadily over the years. In the 2022-2023 season, the league had 20 teams competing in three divisions.
Divisions
The Cumberland Ability Counts League has three divisions: Championship, Premiership, and Super League. The Championship is the top division, followed by the Premiership and the Super League.
The teams are promoted and relegated between the divisions based on their results at the end of the season.
