The Alliance Football League
The Alliance Football League (AAF) was a professional American football minor league that operated for one season in 2019. The league consisted of eight teams located in the southern and western United States.
The AAF was founded by Charlie Ebersol and Bill Polian in 2018. The league's stated mission was to "provide fans with a more affordable, family-friendly alternative to the NFL."

The AAF's regular season was scheduled to run from February to April, with a championship game on April 27. However, the league suspended all football operations on April 2, 2019, after eight weeks of play.
The AAF's collapse was attributed to a number of factors, including financial problems, a lack of fan interest, and competition from the NFL.
