Thames Valley Premier League

The Thames Valley Premier League is an amateur football league based in England. It has a total of five divisions – the Premier Division, then Divisions One to Four.

The Premier Division sits at step 7 (or level 11) of the National League System. The top two teams in the Premier Division are promoted to the Combined Counties Football League, while the bottom two teams are relegated to Division One.

History

Thames Valley Premier League action

The Thames Valley Premier League was founded in 1989. The original founder members were:

  • Eton Wick
  • Maidenhead
  • Mortimer
  • Reading YMCA
  • Slough
  • Thatcham Town
  • Woodley

The league has been won by a total of 14 different clubs. The most successful club is Reading City, who have won the title 10 times.

The current season is the 2022-23 season. The Premier Division is currently being led by Holyport Reserves, who have won 4 of their 5 games so far.
