Thames Valley Church Football League
The Thames Valley Church Football League (TVCFL) is an amateur football league for church teams in the Thames Valley region of England. The league was founded in 1995 and currently has 9 teams playing across 3 divisions.
History
The TVCFL was founded in 1995 by a group of church leaders in the Thames Valley region who wanted to provide a competitive and enjoyable football league for church teams. The league started with just 4 teams, but it has grown steadily over the years and now has 9 teams playing across 3 divisions.
The TVCFL is a well-run league with a good reputation. The teams are all friendly and welcoming, and the standard of football is high. The league also has a strong commitment to fair play, and it is a great place for church teams to come together and enjoy the game of football.
Current Season
The current season of the TVCFL is underway, and it is proving to be very competitive. The Premier League is currently led by YMCA Newbury, who are looking to win their second consecutive title. Beacon Church Cambeley FC are in second place, and they are also a strong contender for the title.
In the Championship, Brookside St Laurence FC are currently in first place. They are followed by West Reading CFC and Norreys, who are both in joint second place. The Championship is also proving to be very competitive, and it is too early to say who will win the title.
Future Plans
The TVCFL is looking to expand in the future. The league hopes to add more teams in the next few years, and it is also looking to start a women's football league. The TVCFL is committed to providing a fun and competitive football league for church teams of all abilities, and it is excited to see what the future holds.
