Swansea Uni Intramural Football League
The Swansea Uni Intramural Football League (IML) is a 16-team league that competes in a league format over the course of the academic year.
The league is managed by a committee made up of a representative from each member club. The secretary of the committee also sits on the board of Swansea University Football Club.
The league has gone from strength to strength since it began. Through increased popularity and exposure, the league is proud to be one of the biggest sports clubs in Swansea University.
League Format
The league is played on a Wednesday and Sunday. There will also be opportunities for games on the astro on Friday afternoons due to current restrictions.
Each team plays each other once over the course of the season. The top two teams at the end of the season compete in the league final.
The losing semi-finalists and the teams knocked out in the last 8 compete in the League Cup. All 16 teams are automatically entered into the cup.
Welsh Varsity
After the season close, a select squad of players will be chosen to go on to face Cardiff University Intramural Football League in the Welsh Varsity.
The Welsh Varsity is an annual football match between the best players from the Swansea Uni IML and the Cardiff Uni IML.
Registration and Fees
The registration fee for the 2022/23 season is £85. This includes the cost of insurance, permits, and referees.
