Sutton Coldfield & District Sunday League
The Sutton Coldfield & District Sunday League is an amateur football league in the West Midlands, England. It was founded in 1966 and currently has over 100 teams competing in its five divisions.
History
The league was founded in 1966 by a group of local football enthusiasts. The first season saw 12 teams compete, and the league has since grown to its current size.
The league has been sponsored by a number of different companies over the years, including Everlast, Carlsberg, and Carling. The current sponsor is Buildbase.
Divisions
The league currently has five divisions:
- Premier Division
- Division One
- Division Two
- Division Three
- Division Four
The top two teams in each division are promoted to the next division, while the bottom two teams are relegated to the lower division.
Cup competitions
The league also runs a number of cup competitions, including:
- The Challenge Cup
- The George Cup
- The Mansell Cup
- The Rose Cup
- The Rumsby Cup
The Challenge Cup is the most prestigious cup competition in the league. It is open to all teams in the Premier Division and Division One.
