Introduction
The Sunday Central Amateur Football League (FCSAFL) is an amateur football league based in Glasgow, Scotland. It was founded in 1978 as the Glasgow Sunday AFL and renamed the Sunday Central AFL at the beginning of season 2010/11.
The FCSAFL currently has 20 teams competing in three divisions: the Premiership, the Championship, and the Lanarkshire Premier Division. The season runs from September to May, with each team playing each other once in a round-robin format.
The league is affiliated with the Scottish Amateur Football Association (SAFA).
History
The Sunday Central Amateur Football League was founded in 1978 as the Glasgow Sunday AFL. The league was originally made up of 10 teams, and the first season was won by Overlee Colts.
The league has grown steadily over the years, and it now has 20 teams competing in three divisions. The Premiership is the top division, followed by the Championship and the Lanarkshire Premier Division.
The league has produced some talented players over the years, including former Scotland internationals Barry Ferguson and Steven Naismith.
