Introduction
The Stockport District Division 2 is an amateur football league in Greater Manchester, England. It is the second tier of the Stockport District Sunday Football League, and is currently made up of 12 teams.
The league was founded in 1921, and has been home to some famous players over the years, including former England internationals Gary Neville and Phil Neville.
The current champions are Apprenticeship FC, who won the title in the 2022-23 season.
How the league works
The Stockport District Division 2 season runs from September to May. Each team plays each other twice, once home and once away.
The top two teams at the end of the season are promoted to the Stockport District Division 1, while the bottom two teams are relegated to the Stockport District Division 3.
