Stellenbosch LFA

The Stellenbosch Local Football Association (LFA) is an amateur football league in Stellenbosch, South Africa. It is affiliated to the South African Football Association (SAFA) and the Western Cape Football Association (WAFA).

History

The Stellenbosch LFA was founded in 1975. The league has grown steadily over the years and now has over 100 teams competing in various divisions.

Structure

The Stellenbosch LFA is divided into two divisions, the Premier Division and the First Division. The top four teams in the Premier Division at the end of the season qualify for the promotion playoffs, with the winners being promoted to the Western Cape SAB League.

The league also has a number of cup competitions, including the Stellenbosch LFA Cup and the Stellenbosch LFA Women's Cup.

The Stellenbosch LFA matches are played at a variety of venues in the Stellenbosch area, including the Stellenbosch University Stadium, the Danie Craven Stadium, and the Coetzenburg Stadium.
