St-Pauls League
The St-Pauls League is an amateur football league based in Dublin, Ireland. It was founded in 1954 and currently has over 100 teams competing in a variety of divisions.
History
The St-Pauls League was founded in 1954 by a group of local footballers who wanted to provide a competitive and affordable outlet for their passion for the game. The league has grown steadily over the years and now has over 100 teams competing in a variety of divisions.
The St-Pauls League is affiliated with the Amateur Football League of Ireland (AFLI), which is the governing body for amateur football in Ireland. The AFLI provides the St-Pauls League with a number of services, including insurance, refereeing, and disciplinary procedures.
Divisions
The St-Pauls League has a variety of divisions, ranging from the Premier Division to the 5th Division. The Premier Division is the top division and is contested by the best teams in the league. The 5th Division is the lowest division and is contested by teams that are new to the league or that are rebuilding.
The teams in each division are divided into groups and play each other home and away. The top teams in each group at the end of the season qualify for the playoffs, with the winners of the playoffs being promoted to the next higher division.
