Spalding & District Sunday Football League
The Spalding & District Sunday Football League is an amateur football league based in Spalding, Lincolnshire, England. It was founded in 1965 and currently has 20 teams competing in two divisions.
History
The league was founded in 1965 by a group of local football enthusiasts. The first season saw 12 teams compete in a single division. The league expanded to two divisions in 1970 and has remained at that size ever since.
Current Structure
The league currently has 20 teams competing in two divisions: Division One and Division Two. Each team plays each other team in their division once, home and away. The top two teams in Division One at the end of the season are promoted to Division One, while the bottom two teams are relegated to Division Two. The bottom two teams in Division Two are relegated to a lower league.
