Introduction
The Southend Sunday League is an amateur football league in Essex, England. It was founded in 1921 and currently has over 100 teams competing in its four divisions.
The league is affiliated to the Football Association, which means that its teams are eligible to compete in the FA Sunday Cup and the FA Vase.
The league headquarters are located at the Len Forge Centre in Eastwoodbury Lane, Southend-on-Sea.
The league's season runs from September to May, with each team playing 20 matches.
