Southend Junior League
The Southend Junior League is an amateur football league for junior players in the Southend area. It was founded in 1921 and currently has over 200 teams competing in a variety of age groups.
League Structure
The Southend Junior League is divided into a number of divisions, based on the age of the players. The youngest age group is Under-7s, and the oldest is Under-18s. There are also a number of girls' divisions.
Each team plays a minimum of 12 games per season, with the top teams in each division qualifying for promotion and the bottom teams facing relegation.

League Rules
The Southend Junior League follows the rules of the Football Association. The league also has a number of its own rules, which are designed to ensure the safety and fair play of the competition. These rules include a ban on tackles from behind and a limit on the number of substitutes that can be used.
