Southend & Junior District Sunday League
The Southend & Junior District Sunday League is an amateur football league based in Southend-on-Sea, Essex, England. It was founded in 1921 and currently has over 100 teams competing in a variety of age groups, from under-11s to under-18s.
The league is affiliated to the Essex County Football Association and follows the FA's rules and regulations. Matches are played on Sundays, usually at local parks and playing fields.
Competitions
- The league has a Premier Division and three Divisions One, Two and Three.
- There are also cup competitions for each age group, including the Challenge Cup, the League Cup and the Floodlit Cup.
- The league also runs a Veterans' Cup for players over the age of 35.
