Somerset Ability Counts League
The Somerset Ability Counts League is an amateur football league for players with disabilities. The league has three mixed adult (male and female) divisions catering for all abilities. Fixtures are held once a month during the league season, with 21 teams from across the County.
About the League
The Somerset Ability Counts League was founded in 2013 by the Somerset Football Association (SFA). The league aims to provide a positive experience and opportunities for clubs and players to play within the disability player pathway.
The league is open to players with all types of disabilities, including physical, learning, and sensory disabilities. Players must be over the age of 16 to participate.
Divisions
The Somerset Ability Counts League has three divisions:
- Division 1: This is the top division and is for players with the highest level of ability.
- Division 2: This division is for players with a medium level of ability.
- Division 3: This division is for players with the lowest level of ability.
The teams in each division are ranked according to their results, and the top teams at the end of the season are promoted to the next division.
