Skem JFL
The Skem JFL (Skelmersdale Junior Football League) is an amateur football league based in Skelmersdale, West Lancashire, England. It was founded in 1972 and currently consists of 16 teams. The league plays its matches on Sunday afternoons during the winter months. The league is divided into three divisions: U13s, U14s, and U15s.
History
The Skem JFL was founded in 1972 by a group of local football enthusiasts. The league started with just six teams, but it has since grown to its current size of 16 teams. The league has been affiliated to the Liverpool County FA since its inception.
Venues
The Skem JFL matches are played at a variety of venues in Skelmersdale, including:
- Blaguegate Playing Fields
- Hoffman Playing Fields
- Scarborough Playing Fields
- Westbrook Playing Fields
Registration
Team registrations for the 2023/24 season are now open. Teams can register online at the Skem JFL website. The deadline for registration is March 8th, 2023.
