Introduction
The Singapore National Youth Leagues (NYL) is an amateur football league for youth players in Singapore. It is organized by JSSL FC, a leading youth football academy in Singapore.
The NYL is open to players of all abilities, from recreational players to elite players. There are 15 age groups, from U6 to U17, for both boys and girls.
The NYL is a competitive league, but it is also designed to be fun and enjoyable for players. The league aims to develop players' skills and techniques, and to provide them with the opportunity to compete against other players of their age and ability.
History
The NYL was founded in 2004. The inaugural season saw 100 teams compete in 6 age groups.
The NYL has grown rapidly in recent years. In the 2023 season, there are over 350 teams competing in 15 age groups.
The NYL has helped to develop many talented young players. Some of the players who have gone on to play for the Singapore national team have played in the NYL.
