Shropshire FA Women's Midweek League
The Shropshire FA Women's Midweek League is an amateur football league for women and girls in Shropshire, England. It was founded in 1996 and is currently divided into two divisions, the Premier Division and Division One. The league is affiliated to the Shropshire FA.
History
The Shropshire FA Women's Midweek League was founded in 1996 with just six teams. The league has since grown to over 20 teams and is now one of the largest women's football leagues in Shropshire.
Structure
The Shropshire FA Women's Midweek League is divided into two divisions, the Premier Division and Division One. The Premier Division has 10 teams and Division One has 12 teams. The teams play each other twice, once home and once away. The top two teams in the Premier Division are promoted to the FA Women's National League North, while the bottom two teams are relegated to Division One. The bottom two teams in Division One are relegated to the Shropshire FA Women's Sunday League.
Current season
The current season of the Shropshire FA Women's Midweek League is the 2022-23 season. The Premier Division is currently being led by AFC Telford United Midweek Women, while Division One is being led by Allscott Heath FC Ladies Midweek.
