SHOESTRINGS Chargrill - Chippenham & Bath Football League
The SHOESTRINGS Chargrill - Chippenham & Bath Football League (C&BFL) is an amateur football league based in the towns of Chippenham and Bath, England.
The league was founded in 2009 and currently has four divisions: Premier Division, Division One, Division Two, and Division Three.
The league is affiliated with the Football Association (FA) and its teams compete in the FA Vase and FA Sunday Cup.
History
The C&BFL was founded in 2009 by a group of local football enthusiasts. The league started with just two divisions, but has since expanded to four divisions.
The C&BFL is currently sponsored by SHOESTRINGS Chargrill, a restaurant chain in the Chippenham area.
Season structure
The C&BFL season runs from September to May. Each team plays each other team in their division twice, once at home and once away.
The top two teams in each division at the end of the season are promoted to the next division, while the bottom two teams are relegated to the lower division.
Cup competitions
In addition to the league competition, the C&BFL teams also compete in the FA Vase and FA Sunday Cup.
The FA Vase is a national cup competition for amateur football teams. The C&BFL teams have reached the third round of the FA Vase on several occasions.
The FA Sunday Cup is a national cup competition for Sunday league football teams. The C&BFL teams have reached the fourth round of the FA Sunday Cup on one occasion.
