Serie B
Serie B (Italian pronunciation: ['s??rje 'bi]), renamed Serie BKT for sponsorship reasons, is the second-highest division in the Italian football league system after the Serie A. It has been operating for over ninety years since the 1929–30 season. It had been organized by Lega Calcio until 2010, when the Lega Serie B was created for the 2010–11 season. Common nicknames for the league are campionato cadetto and cadetteria, since cadetto is the Italian name for junior or cadet.
History
The Serie B was founded in 1929 as the second division of Italian football, below the Serie A. The first season of the league was won by Pro Vercelli. The league has been reorganized several times over the years, most recently in 2010 when the Lega Serie B was created.
The Serie B has been won by 28 different clubs, with Juventus being the most successful team with 10 titles. Other successful teams include Napoli, Milan, and Inter Milan.

The current season of the Serie B is the 2022–23 season. The season started on August 12, 2022, and is scheduled to end on May 29, 2023. The current champions are Lecce.
