Serie 2
Serie 2 is the second tier of the Dutch amateur football league system. It is a nationwide league with 20 teams competing for promotion to the top tier, the Tweede Divisie.
History
Serie 2 was first introduced in the 2016-17 season, as part of a restructuring of the Dutch amateur football league system. It replaced the Topklasse, which had been the second tier of the amateur league system since 2010.
The first season of Serie 2 was won by IJsselmeervogels, who went on to win promotion to the Tweede Divisie.
