Selby & District Junior Football League
The Selby & District Junior Football League is an amateur football league for boys and girls under the age of 18. It is based in the Selby district of North Yorkshire, England.
History
The league was founded in 1963. The inaugural season had 10 teams competing. The league has grown steadily over the years and now has over 60 teams competing in a variety of age groups.
Structure
The league is divided into two divisions, the Premier Division and Division One. The top four teams in the Premier Division at the end of the season are promoted to the North Riding Junior Football League. The bottom four teams in Division One are relegated to the Selby & District Minor Football League.
The league also runs a cup competition, the Selby & District Junior Cup. The cup is open to all teams in the league.
Recent seasons
- In the 2021-22 season, the Premier Division champions were Garforth Rangers Juniors.
- The Division One champions were Snaith Juniors.
- The winners of the Selby & District Junior Cup were Altofts Juniors.
