Introduction
The Second Division Football League is an amateur football league in England. It is the third and lowest division of the English Football League (EFL) and fourth-highest division overall in the English football league system.
The league was founded in 1892 as the Football League Second Division, and was the second level division in the English football league system until the formation of the FA Premier League in 1992.
The current champions of the Second Division Football League are Forest Green Rovers.

Season Format
The Second Division Football League season runs from August to May. Each team plays each other team twice, once at home and once away.
The top two teams at the end of the season are promoted to League One, while the bottom four teams are relegated to National League.
