Introduction
The Rutherford County Amateur Football League (RCAFL) is an amateur association football league based in Rutherford County, North Carolina. The league was founded in 1972 and currently has over 100 teams competing in various divisions.
The RCAFL is a Sunday league, meaning that all matches are played on Sundays. The season runs from March to November.
The RCAFL is affiliated with the North Carolina Amateur Sports Association (NCASA).
Divisions
The RCAFL has a total of 10 divisions, divided by skill level. The top division is the Premier Division, followed by the First Division, the Second Division, and so on.
There is also a Women's Division and a Veterans Division.
Cup Competitions
The RCAFL also organizes a number of cup competitions, including the Rutherford County Cup, the Challenge Cup, and the President's Cup.
The Rutherford County Cup is the most prestigious cup competition in the league. It is open to all teams in the RCAFL.
The Challenge Cup is a knockout competition for teams in the Premier Division and First Division.
The President's Cup is a knockout competition for teams in the Second Division and below.
