The Reserve League was founded in 1905 as the London Combination. It was renamed the Reserve League in 1977. The league has been won by a number of clubs, including Arsenal, Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur, and West Ham United.

- The top two teams at the end of the season are promoted to the Isthmian League Premier Division.
