Introduction

The Reserve League is an amateur football league in England. It was founded in 1905 and is currently administered by the Isthmian League. The league consists of 22 teams and is played on a Saturday afternoon.

History

The Reserve League was founded in 1905 as the London Combination. It was renamed the Reserve League in 1977. The league has been won by a number of clubs, including Arsenal, Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur, and West Ham United.

Rules

  • The league is played on a Saturday afternoon.
  • Each team plays 22 matches.
  • The top two teams at the end of the season are promoted to the Isthmian League Premier Division.
  • The bottom two teams are relegated to the Isthmian League Division One North or South.
