Introduction
The Premier League is an amateur football league in England. It is not to be confused with the Premier League, which is the top tier of professional football in England. The Premier League is a Sunday league, which means that matches are played on Sundays.
The Premier League was founded in 1998 by a group of amateur footballers who wanted to create a more competitive and organized league. The league has grown steadily since then, and now has over 100 teams competing in it.
Rules and regulations
The Premier League follows the standard rules of association football. However, there are a few specific rules that apply to the league. For example, all players must be over the age of 16. Additionally, teams are not allowed to field more than two players who are not registered with the league.
The Premier League also has a strict disciplinary code. Players who are found to have committed serious offenses, such as violent conduct or foul play, can be suspended from the league.
Season structure
The Premier League season runs from September to May. Each team plays each other team twice, once at home and once away. The top two teams at the end of the season are promoted to the National League. The bottom two teams are relegated to the Division One.
The Premier League also has a cup competition, the Premier League Cup. The cup is open to all teams in the league. The winner of the cup qualifies for the FA Vase.
