Introduction
The Prem Division is an amateur football league in the Netherlands. It is the highest level of amateur football in the country, and is organized by the Royal Dutch Football Association (KNVB).
The Prem Division was founded in 2010 as a replacement for the Hoofdklasse, which was the highest level of amateur football at the time. The Prem Division currently consists of 20 teams, and the season runs from September to April.
The top two teams in the Prem Division are promoted to the Eerste Divisie, the second tier of professional football in the Netherlands. The bottom two teams are relegated to the Tweede Divisie, the third tier of amateur football.
