Poulton and District League
The Poulton and District League is an amateur football league in the Poulton-le-Fylde area of Lancashire, England. It was founded in 1921 and currently has teams competing in the U7, U8, U9, U10, U11, U12, U13, U14, U15, U16, U17, U18, and U19 age groups.
History
The Poulton and District League was founded in 1921 by a group of local football enthusiasts. The league initially had just four teams, but it has grown steadily over the years and now has over 60 teams competing in it.
The league has been home to some of the best amateur footballers in the area, including former Blackpool and England international Stan Mortensen. Mortensen played for Poulton Amateurs in the 1940s before moving on to Blackpool.
Current season
The current season of the Poulton and District League is the 2022-23 season. The league is divided into three divisions: Premier Division, Division One, and Division Two.
The current champions of the Premier Division are Poulton Town Juniors. The current champions of Division One are Fleetwood Town Juniors. The current champions of Division Two are St. Annes (Juniors).
