Pakistan Premier League
The Pakistan Premier League (PPL) is the top football league in Pakistan. It is a professional league contested by 12 teams, divided into two groups of six. The league was founded in 2004 and is currently suspended due to the Pakistan Football Federation crisis.
History
The PPL was founded in 2004 by the Pakistan Football Federation (PFF). The inaugural season was won by Khan Research Laboratories. The league has been suspended several times, most recently in 2021 due to the PFF crisis.

Format
The PPL is a double round-robin league, with each team playing each other team twice. The top four teams at the end of the regular season qualify for the playoffs. The playoffs consist of a semi-final, a third-place playoff, and a final.
