Orpington & Bromley District Sunday Football League
The Orpington & Bromley District Sunday Football League (OBDSFL) is an amateur football league based in Orpington and Bromley, Greater London. It was founded in 1922 and currently has over 100 teams competing in 11 divisions.
History
The OBDSFL was founded in 1922 by a group of local football enthusiasts. The league initially had just four divisions, but it has since expanded to include 11 divisions. The OBDSFL is affiliated to the Kent County Football Association and is recognised by the Football Association.
Structure
The OBDSFL is divided into 11 divisions, from the Premier Division at the top to Division 11 at the bottom. The top four teams in the Premier Division are promoted to the Kent Sunday League Premier Division, while the bottom four teams are relegated to Division 1.
The league also has a cup competition, the OBDSFL Challenge Cup. The Challenge Cup is open to all teams in the league and is played in a knockout format.
Current season
The 2022-23 season is the 101st season of the OBDSFL. The Premier Division is currently being led by Farnborough Old Boys Guild, with Blendon F.C. in second place and FC Elmstead in third place.
