Northamptonshire Ability Counts Football League
The Northamptonshire Ability Counts Football League is an amateur football league for people with disabilities in Northamptonshire, England.
The league was founded in 2010 by the Northamptonshire County Football Association (NCFA) to provide regular football opportunities for people with disabilities and to produce a clear pathway from grassroots disability football to elite disability football programmes.
The league currently has teams in the following disability categories:
- Visually impaired
- Hearing impaired
- Physically disabled
- Learning disabled
- Autism spectrum disorder
The league season runs from September to May, with each team playing each other once. The top two teams in each category at the end of the season qualify for the Ability Counts Cup.
The league is open to all players with disabilities, regardless of age or ability. There is no cost to join the league, and all players are provided with a kit.
The Northamptonshire Ability Counts Football League is a great way for people with disabilities to get involved in football and to make new friends. If you are interested in joining the league, please contact the NCFA on disability@northamptonshirefa.com.
