The Northampton Sunday Combination is an amateur football league in Northamptonshire, England. It was founded in 1921 and currently has over 100 teams competing in a variety of divisions.
History
The Northampton Sunday Combination was founded in 1921 by a group of local football enthusiasts. The league initially had just four divisions, but it has since expanded to include over 100 teams.
The league has been home to some of the best amateur footballers in Northamptonshire over the years. Former Northampton Town players such as John Dempster, Paul Smith, and Dean Windass have all played in the league.
Current Structure
The Northampton Sunday Combination currently has 10 divisions, ranging from the Premier Division to Division 10. The top two teams in each division are promoted at the end of the season, while the bottom two teams are relegated.
The league also has a cup competition, the Northampton Sunday Combination Cup. The cup is open to all teams in the league and is played in a knockout format.
