North West Powerchair Football League
The North West Powerchair Football League is an amateur football league for people with physical disabilities. It was founded in 2009 and has teams from across the North West of England.
The league plays its matches on powerchairs, which are specially adapted electric wheelchairs that are designed for football. The chairs have a number of features that make them suitable for playing football, including a padded seat, a headrest, and a joystick that controls the direction of the chair.
The rules of powerchair football are similar to those of regular football, with a few modifications. For example, the ball is slightly larger than a regular football and the goals are smaller.
