North Kent Youth League
The North Kent Youth League (NKYL) is an amateur football league for boys and girls aged 7 to 18 in North Kent, England. It is affiliated to the Kent Youth League and the Football Association.
History
The NKYL was founded in 1972. The inaugural season had 10 teams competing in a single division. The league has since grown to over 100 teams competing in a variety of divisions.
Divisions
The NKYL has 10 divisions for boys and 7 divisions for girls. The divisions are split by age group and ability level.
- Boys: Under-7, Under-8, Under-9, Under-10, Under-11, Under-12, Under-13, Under-14, Under-15, Under-16, Under-18
- Girls: Under-7, Under-8, Under-9, Under-10, Under-11, Under-12, Under-13
Season
The NKYL season runs from September to May. Each team plays 12-14 matches during the season.
Cup competitions
The NKYL also runs a number of cup competitions, including the Kent Youth Cup, the Kent Junior Cup, and the Kent Girls Cup.
