North East Regional Women's Football League
The North East Regional Women's Football League (NERWFL) is an amateur football league for women in the North East of England. It is at the fifth and sixth levels of the English women's football pyramids.
Structure
The NERWFL consists of three divisions: Premier Division, Division One North, and Division One South. The Premier Division has 10 teams, Division One North has 10 teams, and Division One South has 9 teams.
The teams in each division play each other twice, once at home and once away. The top two teams in the Premier Division are promoted to the FA Women's National League North, while the bottom two teams are relegated to Division One North. The top two teams in Division One North are promoted to the Premier Division, while the bottom two teams are relegated to Division One South. The top two teams in Division One South are promoted to Division One North, while the bottom two teams are relegated to the Teesside Women's Football League.
Cup competitions
The NERWFL also hosts a number of cup competitions, including the NERWFL League Cup, the NERWFL Challenge Cup, and the NERWFL County Cup.
The NERWFL League Cup is open to all teams in the NERWFL. The NERWFL Challenge Cup is open to teams in the Premier Division and Division One North. The NERWFL County Cup is open to teams in the Premier Division, Division One North, and Division One South.
