North East Christian Fellowship League
The North East Christian Fellowship League (NECFL) is an amateur football league in the North East of England. It is affiliated to the Football Association (FA) and currently has 2 divisions, the Premier Division and Division One.
The NECFL was founded in 1995 by a group of Christian footballers who wanted to create a league where they could play football and share their faith. The league has grown steadily since then and now has over 40 clubs.
The NECFL season runs from September to May and each team plays each other twice, once at home and once away. The top teams in each division are promoted at the end of the season and the bottom teams are relegated.
The NECFL also has a number of cup competitions, including the League Cup, the Memorial Cup and the President's Cup.
