Norfolk Combined Youth Football League
The Norfolk Combined Youth Football League (NCYFL) is an amateur football league for boys and girls aged 6 to 18 in Norfolk, England. It was formed in June 2016 by the amalgamation of three previous leagues: the North Norfolk Youth Football League, the South Norfolk Youth Football League, and the Norwich Youth Football League.
The NCYFL currently has over 660 teams playing in its leagues, making it the largest youth football league in Norfolk. The league is divided into age groups from Under-7s to Under-18s, and there are both boys' and girls' teams.
The NCYFL is affiliated to the Norfolk County Football Association (NCFA) and follows the NCFA's rules and regulations. The league also supports the NCFA's Respect campaign, which aims to promote fair play and respect in youth football.
League Structure
The NCYFL is divided into three divisions: the Premier Division, Division One, and Division Two. The Premier Division is the top division, and it is made up of the strongest teams in the league. Division One is the second tier, and Division Two is the third tier.
The teams in each division are divided into groups, and each group plays each other team in the group home and away. The top teams in each group at the end of the season qualify for the playoffs, with the winners of the playoffs being promoted to the next higher division. The bottom teams in each division at the end of the season are relegated to the next lower division.
Cup Competitions
In addition to the league competitions, the NCYFL also runs a number of cup competitions. The most prestigious cup competition is the NCYFL Cup, which is open to all teams in the league. Other cup competitions include the Challenge Cup, the Floodlit Cup, and the Vase.
