The Nidderdale Junior Football League is an amateur football league for children in the Nidderdale area of North Yorkshire, England. It was founded in 1972 and currently has teams in the U7, U8, U9, U10, and U11 age groups. The league is affiliated to the Football Association (FA).
History
The Nidderdale Junior Football League was founded in 1972 by a group of local football enthusiasts. The league started with just a few teams, but it has grown steadily over the years. Today, the league has over 50 teams and is one of the largest junior football leagues in North Yorkshire.
Structure
The Nidderdale Junior Football League is divided into four divisions: U7, U8, U9, and U10/U11. Each division has a set number of teams, and the teams play each other home and away. The top teams in each division at the end of the season are promoted to the next division, while the bottom teams are relegated to the lower division.
The league also has a cup competition, which is open to all teams in the league. The cup competition is played in a knock-out format, and the winner of the cup is the champion of the Nidderdale Junior Football League.
