The Newmarket Motor Company 4A was founded in 1962 by a group of local businessmen. The league originally consisted of 6 teams, and it has since expanded to its current size of 10 teams. The league has been a successful breeding ground for young talent, and many former players have gone on to play professional football.
The league has won several championships over the years, including the Ontario Cup in 1976 and 1983. The league has also produced several individual award winners, including the Ontario Player of the Year in 1976 and 1983.
