Introduction
Munu is an amateur football league based in the United Kingdom. It was founded in 2016 by a group of friends who wanted to create a more relaxed and inclusive environment for playing football.
The league is open to players of all abilities, and there are no tryouts or trials required. Matches are played on a Sunday afternoon, and there is a focus on having fun and enjoying the game.
Rules
The rules of Munu are based on the official rules of football, with a few modifications to make the game more accessible to players of all abilities. For example, there is no offside rule, and players are allowed to pick up the ball and run with it.
The league also has a few unique rules of its own, such as the "Munu rule" which allows players to call for a "Munu" if they feel they have been fouled. If the referee agrees, the player is awarded a free kick.
Season
The Munu season runs from September to May, with each team playing each other once. The top two teams at the end of the season qualify for the playoffs, with the winner being crowned Munu champions.
In addition to the regular season, Munu also hosts a number of other events, such as a Christmas tournament and a summer social.
