Mundialito Metropolitana
The Mundialito Metropolitana is an amateur football league for children and youth in the Lima metropolitan area. It is organized by the Asociación Mundialito Metropolitana and is open to teams of all skill levels.
History
The Mundialito Metropolitana was founded in 2003 by a group of football enthusiasts who wanted to create a competitive and fun environment for young players. The league has grown steadily over the years and now has over 100 teams participating.
Format
The Mundialito Metropolitana is a round-robin tournament. Each team plays each other team once, with the top teams advancing to the playoffs. The playoffs are single-elimination, with the winner being crowned the champion.
Age Groups
The Mundialito Metropolitana is divided into four age groups:
- Sub-6
- Sub-8
- Sub-10
- Sub-12
The age groups are determined by the player's birth date.
Rules
The Mundialito Metropolitana follows the rules of the International Football Association Board (FIFA). However, there are some modifications to the rules to make the game more suitable for young players. For example, the size of the field is smaller and the games are shorter.
