Mossley Hill JFL
Mossley Hill JFL is an amateur football league based in Mossley Hill, Liverpool, England. It was founded in 1972 and currently has over 100 teams competing in a variety of age groups, from under-6s to under-18s.
The league is affiliated to the Liverpool County FA and plays its matches at various grounds in the Mossley Hill area. The season runs from September to May, with each team playing a number of matches against other teams in their division.
History
Mossley Hill JFL was founded in 1972 by a group of local football enthusiasts. The league originally had just three divisions, but it has since expanded to include over 100 teams.
The league has a strong reputation for producing talented young footballers. In recent years, a number of players who have come through the Mossley Hill JFL system have gone on to play professional football, including Liverpool defender Joe Gomez and Everton midfielder Tom Davies.
Current season
The current season of Mossley Hill JFL began in September 2022 and is scheduled to end in May 2023. The league is divided into 11 divisions, with each division containing 10 teams.
The top two teams from each division at the end of the season are promoted to the next division, while the bottom two teams are relegated to the next lower division.
