History

The Morden And District Sunday League was founded in 1977 by a group of local football enthusiasts. The league started with just 8 teams, but it has grown steadily over the years and now has over 100 teams. The league has been home to some of the best amateur footballers in South London, including former Millwall and Crystal Palace player Nicky Bailey.

Morden And District Sunday League action

The league has also been involved in a number of charitable initiatives. In 2016, the league raised over £1,000 for the Teenage Cancer Trust. The league also supports a number of local youth football clubs.
