The MK Border Counties Football League is an amateur football league in Milton Keynes, England. It was founded in 1982 and currently has 16 teams. The league is divided into two divisions, the Premier Division and Division One.
History
The MK Border Counties Football League was founded in 1982 by a group of local football enthusiasts. The league originally had 12 teams, but it has since grown to its current size of 16 teams.
The league has been won by a number of different teams over the years, including Wolverton Town, Newport Pagnell Town, and Bletchley Town. The current champions are Wolverton Town.
Structure
The MK Border Counties Football League is divided into two divisions, the Premier Division and Division One. The Premier Division is the top division, and it is made up of the 8 best teams in the league. Division One is the second division, and it is made up of the remaining 8 teams in the league.
The teams in each division play each other twice, once at home and once away. The top two teams in the Premier Division at the end of the season are promoted to the United Counties League, while the bottom two teams are relegated to Division One. The top two teams in Division One are promoted to the Premier Division, while the bottom two teams are relegated to the Spartan South Midlands League.
