Introduction
The Middlesex County Football League Sunday (MCFL Sunday) is an amateur football league based in England loosely drawing teams from the central, northern and western parts of Greater London. The league was founded in 1984 and initially had only one division, although it has since expanded greatly.
The MCFL Sunday currently has 10 divisions, with each division containing 14 teams. The top division is the Premier Division, and the bottom division is the Division 10.
The MCFL Sunday season runs from September to May, with each team playing each other team in their division twice, once at home and once away. The top two teams in each division are promoted to the next division, and the bottom two teams are relegated to the next lower division.
The MCFL Sunday is a popular league with over 200 teams competing each season. The league is also a breeding ground for young talent, with many players who have gone on to play professional football having started their careers in the MCFL Sunday.
