Merseyside County Schools FA
The Merseyside County Schools FA (MCSFA) is an amateur football league that covers the Merseyside area of England. It was founded in 1974 and currently has over 600 member schools.
Competitions
The MCSFA runs a variety of competitions for schools at all age levels, from primary to secondary and then to post-16/college level. These include:
- U12 Merseyside Cup
- U13 Girls Merseyside Cup
- U13 Merseyside Cup
- U14 Merseyside Cup
- U15 Merseyside Cup
- U16 Merseyside Cup
- Schools 6th Form Cup
- Everton U19 Senior Champions League Shield for schools and colleges
History
The MCSFA was founded in 1974 by a group of football enthusiasts who wanted to provide more opportunities for school children to play football. The league has grown steadily since then and now has over 600 member schools.
Awards
The MCSFA has won a number of awards for its work in promoting school football. In 2019, it was awarded the FA Charter Standard Community Club Mark, which is the highest level of recognition that a community club can achieve.
