History
The MJFL was founded in 1965 by a group of local football enthusiasts. The league started with just a few teams, but it has grown steadily over the years.
In 1998, the MJFL became affiliated to the Football Association. This allowed the league's teams to compete in the FA Vase and FA Youth Cup.
The MJFL is now one of the largest amateur football leagues in the West Midlands. It provides a great opportunity for young players to develop their skills and enjoy the game of football.
Structure
The MJFL is divided into 12 divisions, with each division having 12 to 16 teams. The top division is the Premier Division, followed by Division One, Division Two, and so on.
The teams in each division play each other twice, home and away. The top teams in each division at the end of the season are promoted to the next division, while the bottom teams are relegated to the next lower division.
The MJFL also runs a number of cup competitions, including the Challenge Cup, the League Cup, and the Floodlit Cup.
Current Season
The 2022-23 season is currently underway. The Premier Division champions are Areley Kings Youth, while the Division One champions are Droitwich Spa Youth FC.
The MJFL also runs a number of development programs for young players, including the Wildcats program for girls aged 5 to 11 and the Kickstart program for boys and girls aged 16 to 18.
