Meon Valley Vets
The Meon Valley Vets is an amateur football league for players over the age of 35. It is based in the Meon Valley area of Hampshire, England.
History
The league was founded in 1990. The inaugural season had 10 teams. The league has grown steadily since then, and currently has 20 teams.
Format
The league is divided into two divisions, Division 1 and Division 2. Each division has 10 teams. The teams play each other once in the regular season. The top two teams in each division at the end of the regular season qualify for the playoffs. The winners of the playoffs are the champions of their respective divisions.
Current Season
The 2023-2024 season is currently underway. The current leaders of Division 1 are Waterlooville Social 1st (Sun), with Dingle Rovers Dingle Rovers in second place. The current leaders of Division 2 are AFC Portchester Vets, with AFC Whiteley Veterans in second place.
