Maccabi GB Southern Football League
The Maccabi GB Southern Football League is an amateur football league based in London and Essex. It was founded in 1985 and currently consists of three divisions of open mens football played on a Sunday morning.
History
The Maccabi GB Southern Football League was founded in 1985 by a group of Jewish footballers who wanted to create a competitive league for Jewish players in London and Essex. The league has grown steadily over the years and now has over 40 teams competing in three divisions.
Divisions
The Maccabi GB Southern Football League consists of three divisions: Premier Division, First Division, and Second Division. The Premier Division is the top division and is contested by the best teams in the league. The First Division is the second tier and is contested by teams that have been promoted from the Second Division or have been relegated from the Premier Division. The Second Division is the bottom tier and is contested by teams that have been promoted from the Junior League or have been relegated from the First Division.
